The unusual staircase layout and client preference for a single, continuous railing required a complete custom solution. I ultimately recommended a slightly smaller diameter of tubing than originally specified. The intent was to not visually overwhelm the staircase presence, and still ensure a substantial feel in-hand. Meticulous measurements of the staircase’s compound angles were taken. Seven pieces were created and then fully welded together onsite. Handrail brackets provided by the homeowner secured it in place.
