The Bolt & Hide workshop is where all the custom fabrication happens. A no-shortcuts, no-compromises philosophy means that I build with integrity: by hand, often with vintage tools that, like my pieces, have stood the test of time.
Being in Chicago, inspiration is drawn from the industrial era, when the Midwest was hard at work crafting quality products to withstand the test of time; my designs are refined yet retain the raw industriousness for which the material was intended. All Bolt & Hide materials are hand-selected and sourced from local companies. From the grain on wood and leather to the markings on metal, the unique character and small imperfections of the materials give finished pieces a style and soul all their own.
